In a cycle of constant growth, with no interest in silent complacency within the confines of a preconceived idea of who they should or shouldn't be, THE STIFF WIRES hide behind no walls and refuse to allow any social, political or musical barriers TO hold them down. Based out of the Speed City (London, ON) the boys in the band; Jamie (guitar and vocals), Brandyn (guitar and vocals), Dan (bass and vocals) and Jesse (drums) choose to have no front man, rather they come together as 4 unified equals, to eradicate any sense of self righteousness: as a family they stand as one, and as a family they fall as one.
Politically agitated, socially alienated and hopelessly romantic; fast, raw and shambled melodies: Lyrically intellectual and musically instinctive, their blend of punk rock and classic pop, echoes of the past, but modern underground flexibility and era ambiguity cast a strong, unrelenting point to the future. Live they can only be described as energetically powerful and aesthetically unique, having shared the stage with such legends as: the Misfits, DOA, SNFU, Forgotten Rebels, Queers, The Business, Real Mackenzie's and many more.
With no one to answer to but themselves, in their pursuit of a life of art, THE STIFF WIRES musically and socio-politically are and will forever remain the product of four individuals with an undying need to push themselves and their music as far as it can go, with no patience for those who can't or refuse to understand.
